I need to do some research (for my thesis) on ZigBee for Home Automation.
I find only a couple of Demo/Development/... kits that have the support for the Home Automation profiles. (Ember, Freescale, RadioPulse, meshnetics but not shure on lite version, ...) But they're all pretty expensive (+$1000).
The cheaper ones sometimes have kits with demo's for Home Automation. But I need to attach a ZigBee coordinator to a software package that controls the home (domotics). If a ZigBee temperature sensor/engine for curtains/... is installed somewhere in the house. It needs to understand it and make decision depending on it's status etc.
Anyone information that can help? WGneral information is more than welcome either!!
